- Our programmes are structured to align with the UGC Internship Guidelines 2023 (under NEP 2020) and AICTE internship requirements.
- 1 credit = 30 hours of engagement, so 60 to 120 hours maps to 2 to 4 credits.
- You receive an offer letter, activity logbook, fortnightly progress reports, a final project report and a completion certificate.
- Your college decides whether to grant credits. We cannot guarantee that they will be accepted.
- Tectranz is not affiliated with, approved by or endorsed by UGC or AICTE.
01What "aligned to" means
The UGC Internship Guidelines 2023, issued under the National Education Policy 2020, and AICTE's internship requirements describe how colleges should run internships and give credit for them. We have designed the hours, supervision, documents and evaluation of our programmes to fit those requirements.
Aligned to does not mean approved. Tectranz is not affiliated with, approved by, accredited by or endorsed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Your college decides whether to accept our internship for credit.
02How we meet each requirement
| Requirement | How we comply |
|---|---|
| Credits and duration | 1 credit = 30 hours of engagement. Our online plans run for 60, 90 or 120 hours, which supports 2, 3 or 4 credits. In-office plans add more practical hours. See the plan table below. |
| Vertical | Digitisation and Emerging Technologies (AI and machine learning), across six tracks |
| Supervision | A Tectranz mentor guides you day to day. Your institution's internship supervisor or nodal officer oversees the internship. Progress is validated every fortnight. |
| Mode | Digital (online plans), hybrid (Hybrid Campus), physical (Immersive, in office 5 days a week), and group work through team projects |
| Documentation | Offer letter, activity logbook, fortnightly progress reports, final project report with an originality undertaking, and a completion certificate |
| Evaluation | Assessment by your supervisor and mentor during the internship, plus a final seminar or viva-voce |
| Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) | We provide the documents your college needs. If your college grants credits, it records them in ABC. |
| Verification | Certificates carry a unique ID and QR code, verifiable at https://tectranz.com/verify-certificate |
03Plans, hours and credits
Credits are worked out at 30 hours per credit. The table shows each plan's engagement hours and the credits they support.
| Plan | Mode | Duration | Engagement hours | Credits supported |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | Digital (online) | 4 weeks | 60 hours | 2 credits |
| Professional | Digital (online) | 8 weeks | 90 hours | 3 credits |
| Industry | Digital (online) | 12 weeks | 120 hours | 4 credits |
| Hybrid Campus | Hybrid (office and online) | 12 weeks | 180 hours | 4 credits |
| Immersive | Physical (in office) | 12 weeks | 480 hours | 4 credits |
Internship credits are usually capped at 4. Plans longer than 120 hours give you more practical time, but not more than 4 credits. Your college's scheme decides the final number.
Many colleges run internships in 4.1 alongside classes, or in 4.2 as a project semester. Check your college's calendar and credit rules before you choose a plan.
04Vertical and tracks
All our programmes fall under the Digitisation and Emerging Technologies vertical, in the area of AI and machine learning. You choose one of six tracks:
- AI Engineering
- Agentic AI & Automation
- ML & Data Science
- AI Security
- Computer Vision
- Full-Stack AI
Training is delivered by Tectranz. The internship or project part is carried out with partner companies.
05Supervision
- Tectranz mentor: guides your learning and project work, reviews your logbook, and signs your fortnightly progress reports.
- Institution supervisor or nodal officer: the faculty member your college appoints to oversee internships. They receive your progress reports and can contact us at any time.
- Partner reviewer: on partner projects, a reviewer from the company may give feedback on your work.
Your college's supervisor or nodal officer can write to colleges@tectranz.com to confirm your attendance and progress. We share your records with your college with your consent.
06Documents you receive
| Document | What it contains | When |
|---|---|---|
| Offer letter | Your programme, track and dates | At the start of the programme |
| Activity logbook | Your record of tasks, hours and learning, reviewed by your mentor | Throughout the programme |
| Fortnightly progress reports | Progress, attendance and mentor remarks for each two-week period | Every two weeks |
| Final project report | Your project, methods and results, with a signed originality undertaking | At the end of the programme |
| Completion certificate | Your programme details, a unique certificate ID and a QR code | Within 15 days of completion |
07Evaluation
Evaluation has two parts:
- Continuous assessment by your supervisor and mentor, through assignments, code reviews, your logbook and fortnightly progress reports.
- A final seminar or viva-voce, where you present and defend your project.
To receive the completion certificate, you need at least 80% attendance, all assessments submitted and a passed final review. Your college may add its own evaluation before granting credit.
08Academic Bank of Credits
The Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) stores credits awarded by colleges and universities. Only your institution can record credits in ABC. We cannot do it for you.
If your college needs documents to grant or transfer credits, ask us at admissions@tectranz.com, or ask your college to write to colleges@tectranz.com. We will send copies of your records, such as attendance, logbook, progress reports and certificate details.
09Your college decides
We design our programmes to fit the requirements, but we cannot guarantee that your college will accept them for credit or count them towards your degree. Rules differ between universities and colleges.
Before you enroll, show your college's internship coordinator the plan you want and this page. If your college needs something specific, such as a particular report format, tell us and we will try to help.
10What we do not claim
- Tectranz is not a university or college, and does not award degrees or diplomas.
- Our completion certificate is issued by Tectranz. It is not a degree, diploma or government certificate.
- We do not claim any approval, recognition or accreditation from UGC, AICTE or any other regulator.
- Credits, if any, are granted only by your college.
