Overview

What this track is about

Start with how neural networks learn, then move to the vision problems companies pay for: spotting defects on a production line, reading documents, counting objects in a video feed. You'll train models, then make them small and fast enough to run on real hardware.

Who it's for

  • ECE, EEE and CSE students who like hardware and images
  • Students who have finished an ML basics course
  • Job seekers targeting manufacturing and healthcare AI

You should know

  • Python and NumPy
  • Comfort with matrices and basic calculus
Curriculum

Four phases, one system

Shown for the 12-week plans. The 4 and 8-week plans cover the first phases in less depth and finish with a smaller project.

  • Python
  • PyTorch
  • OpenCV
  • Ultralytics YOLO
  • Label Studio
  • ONNX
  • Hugging Face

Partner projects

The kind of work you'll ship

Example briefs. Your actual project depends on the partner company assigned to your cohort.

PROJECT 01

Defect detection

Detects scratches and dents on product images for a manufacturing partner and reports precision per defect type.

PROJECT 02

Invoice reader

Extracts fields from scanned invoices with a vision-language model and checks totals automatically.

What you walk away with

  • A trained, deployed vision model
  • A labelled dataset you built
  • An edge deployment with measured latency
  • A demo video for your portfolio

Roles this prepares you for

  • Computer Vision Engineer
  • Deep Learning Intern
  • ML Engineer
  • Embedded AI Developer

We prepare you for these roles and refer strong performers to open positions at partner companies. We don't guarantee a job.

FAQ

Computer Vision: common questions

Do I need prior AI experience for Computer Vision?

No. You need: python and numpy; comfort with matrices and basic calculus. The first phase covers the foundations, and mentors help anyone who falls behind.

Is the curriculum the same online and offline?

Yes. The syllabus and certificates are the same. Offline plans add office days with in-person reviews, team projects with partner engineers and more hands-on hours.

Which partner company will I work with?

It depends on the project brief that fits your level and interests. The company is named on your offer letter before the project phase starts.

What if I miss a live class?

Every live class is recorded. You need 80% attendance across live and office sessions to receive the certificate, and you can switch to a later cohort once for free.
